On this day in 1949, George Orwell's novel NINETEEN EIGHTY-FOUR was published.

If you have not yet read this ground-breaking novel, more relevant today than ever before, you should.

The first line of the novel reads: "It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen."

Now, if that doesn't suck you in to the plot, nothing will!
