On this day in 1972, the above picture was taken by Apollo 17 astronauts, and for the first time the earth, the Big Blue Marble, as the astronauts called her, was photographed in space in all its magnificence.
Enjoy her, respect her, protect her, and love her!

  3. Can you thing of 3 good reasons why he is NOT? C'mon, have you read the play? He is the quintessence of tragic, with a lot of other junk besides.

    This is what a librarian does, and you should have visited me in the library! I would have shown you much more, but I'm at home now, just checking email. MACBETH is a grand Shakespeare tragedy, and the main character in such a play is a tragic hero by circumstance.
